Default Polishing Power Steering Mount?

I saw a pic on here some where of someone who had polished the P/S mount on an integra to a near chrome like finish. What are the steps and tools needed to achieve this?

I have this process in mind.

DA sander, 80 grit, 120, 300, 800, 1000, 2000, some sort of poilishing process.

what is it made out of...aluminum or steel. i think steel. but anyway....rough grit....80.....then to 120...then 300....the next steps would be buffing with compounds. that is how i would do it. if it is steel then you would need it plated otherwise it would rust very quickly....if it is aluminum...then it wont shine like chrome. good luck finding a plater that does aluminum. but aluminum doesnt need to be plated if smooth finish
