ok, so i had everything all the way apart and cant figure out exactly why its doing this. but when it goes down its ok, but goin up....the back of the window tries to go up first and just slips out of the rubber track. I have to push the window towards the rear all the way until the last inch or so. is it just the track and everything are wore out? i tried some minor adjustments but nothing. this is driving me nuts and makes going through drive throughs a bitch. help!!!

 

Sounds like your window isn't sitting right on the front of the regulator. I had the same problem with my window and I would have to do the same thing. Turns out the clip for the glass on the regulator was broken. Just got a parts CRX som I'm gonna swap regulators.

 

first inspect the track visually (you probably already did). if everything looks kosher, pop off the door panel and you'll see how things work. the regulator bolted to the inner door skin in a couple of places, and attaches to the bottom of the windor. it is the scissor jack like thing that moves when you turn the crank- really simple. with everything off you'll probably see imediately what is not right.

 

adjust the vertical tracks. take off the door panel and youll see the adjustment bolts.

i remember having something similar. check everything else of course.

 

I had a similar problem. I popped off the door panel and found that the plastic tab that holds the window glass to the regulator had broken off. A little Gorilla Glue fixed it

that sounds familiar too. check that.

 

thanks for the help guys......but ive tried all those things. no broken tabs, i tried adjusting the 10 mil bolt on the rear of the bracket. nothing. its like if the window is half way up, you can grab the window and rock it back and forth, like front to back, it is possible just the scissor bracket is just wore out?

 

is the track moving like that to? it shouldnt.

 

Sounds like the regulator is worn out... I replaced mine last summer... now its fine
