Default Fully Built Turbo'd f23a1 or H Swap

Im very limited money wise and just curious as to what you guys would prefer to do.. I was thinking of just fully building my engine now f23a1 and then turbo it. or what i WANT to do is put the h22 in and maybe a small kit? Which would end up with more power, and which would go for less money? My engine has 88,000 on it now.

*I also recently heard something about you can swap a rsx motor in and itll fit fine? true?

F23 will yield more horsepower for the same price that you'd spend on the H22, however, the reliability is questionable. It all depends on the condition of your engine, the tune, and the parts you use.

i would go for f23

1)because everything is so much cheaper for F

2)lower compression

You had mentioned money would be limited....so....is this going to be your daily driver?
If so, I'd say steer away from turbo. Take into consideration tuning costs and the regular "my **** ain't running right" scenarios that a daily driver can't afford to have.

The F23 option is turbo....turbo is not cheap. H swap is factory and has reliability.

how much a stock h22 makes? 165ish on dyno.

i think you got a point if the someone is looking for a super relaible daily driver, but again how much is the 6th gen weight?

Honestly, If you're very limited budget wise, Neither is a good Idea until you really can afford to do it.... the H swap would be reliable, but it takes money...

Don't build the F 23 just do a really nice turbo kit. That would be cheaper than trying to do the swap. If you start having problem with the F23 then build it. Just my two cents

if you're gonna stay low boost (6-7 psi), boost that thing...but you will have to take into consideration, the mileage and condition of the F23...a compression test is a good idea...

i'm wondering about this issue also too.. just not taking an option for the H swap.

for F23a motors, are FI setups recommended for milages over 88k ( casmello's F23a1) and 100,598 (my F23a4) ??

any inputs well appreciated.

mileage doesn't matter. how is the compression on the motor?

boost breaks ****. be ready for more $$ spent than initially thought.
