Default Recommend me a deck $150-$250 price range.

Well it's like this:

I'm making my hatch into a semi-full blown race car. I have a nice "system" in there now, but I'm taking it all out along with my back seats etc. I want a good CD player that doesn't skip which will power two Infinity Kappa speakers.

All I need a CD player for is cruising around town and to the drag strip (80 miles away) and trips to Seattle for HT meets.

It has to play mp3 cds, not skip, and not be too blingy.

What do you have for me?

That's all the Alpines under $250 US, although the dealers will be blowing out last years models, so now would be a good time to buy. 94

i had a pioneer deh-p7600 and loved it. paid $260.00 for it 2 years ago. my friend had a lower model pioneer, cost about $190.00 and was just as good as mine, just not as flashy. i'm checking out new models at crutchfield cause i sold my car with the pioneer in it. i've had a pioneer, kenwwod, and an alpine and prefer the pioneers.

alpine has the nice crossover features that pioneer does not have. but pioneer is easy to navigate. whatever it is make sure it's detachable. most come that way now.

It's between Eclipse and Alpine. Not really sure which to choose, probably can't go wrong either way.

I'm a huge fan of Pioneer for their crisp sounds. Deh p6000 ub is the model I would get. You can connect any usb thumb drive or memory stick to it that has mp3's and it will play it.
