Default Skunk 2 Intake manafold

i searched for info on it but it said my search was 2 specific.... w/e

A local is selling a BRAND NEW Skunk 2 Pro series IM for my GS-R. $150. Im wondering if i should jump on it or not.
My buddy says he heard bad things about it.... but hes got a Prelude.
That price seems pretty good since they got for atleast $250 online.

anyone have it and like/dislike it?

well if you have other mods done to your car then this will help. It gets rid of your IABs and you will lose some low end, but you will gain some on the top end. Without other major mods you will not see good results. I had the older manifold and all i am running is I/H/E and with some research found out that the stock gsr manifold is a good manifold for our GSRs with a bit of port and polishing yields good low end and top end gains. 150 is cheap for a pro series, but unless you have other stuff done like cams, gears and so on then save your money and spend it else wear.

no, they are not because i searched in the integra archives.

you need to check which forum to search in, and don't forget the archives.

Im with liquidgsr, the manifold matched with the Skunk2 throttle body will make a huge difference if you have the need to get more air into your engine, like if your going turbo or just have a lot of mods. Otherwise for the most part they wont make a very noticable difference. Although it is a type r replica which is better than the stock gsr manifold. I sport mostly Skunk2 products and i love the manifold...

don't bother buying an aftermarket thorttle body if your not going to port the inlet the skunk manifold any bigger. Go with this guy https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=771875 and port your stock one

I've been doing alot of research about doing a LS/Vtec swap and one of the books I have did fairly extensive testing on intakes and found out the the stock b16a intake was about the best there is.

Have you checked into that?
Actually, the tested it agisnt the skunk 2 and the b16a intake owned the skunk 2 everywhere in the powerband.
