^^^^ this f*cking guy!? dont listen to this rediculous ricer. 10k is plain stupid dude. if you want blue do a damn retrofit and get some projectors. 10k you wont be able see **** when that is the purpose of HID lights - to be able to see and be seen better.
listen to what evryone is telling you man, 4300 ( 5000 max ) for the best lighting and
color output.

*edit* i didnt realize you were the OP. either way tho - 10k is rediculous, it is just plain ricer and gay.

of course it will be brighter than the regular halogen lights you are typically used to.
but 8000k will not be as bright or look as good as 4300 in a retrofit projector.
have you ever driven a car that comes stock with HID ( i.e. TSX, S2K, TL, ect ect ) ? You will notice the lights shift color because the projector in the headlight, not because they are using 8000 or 10000k blue HID's.
honestly man, listen to people with experience - if the higher kelvin ratings were better then more people would use them rather than go through the trouble of retrofitting lights.
its your car and you do what you like, but think about it before you go waste your money on some ricer lights, rather than buying a product that will actually perform as good as it looks. just my .02

The bluer the light, the more glare to oncomming traffic, and the less useful light to see by. Don't be an *** to others on the road, retrofit a proper HID projector, and use a proper 4300K capsule, or just stick with the factory halogen projectors, which are still some of the better headlights out there anyway.

alright, so i don't wanna go 10k now, can i still get kind of a bluer tint (not that big of a deal, i just think it looks tight), or if u can, tell me what kind of kit and projectors to get to fit my integra housing the best without heavily modifying the housing

well from my knolegde its not the heat level that hinders the visablity, its the fact that the colors that the buld emits isnt the greatest for visablity. i mean the s2000 has some of the best hid systems out there and they run 4300k

wtf?

it's almost unanimous....get yourself something 4300K. Since that's what OEM uses, and why does OEM companies such as Acura/Honda, BMW, Lexus, Audi, Mercedes, Infinity, and Nissan use 4300K? CUz it's cooollll??!! Nah man 4300K gives you the MOST LUMENS. K is the measurement of color temperature, while lumens is the measurement of brightness. 4300K gives you about 3500 lumens while ur 8K-10K gives you approximately less then 2000 lumens. Which is a bit more then your halogens. Hey it's still more then stock but it sucks *** compared to real HIDS.

Retro or HID KIT???

Sure with a HID kit you might need that 6000K+ kit to get yourself a bluish color. But remember the rule of thumb here...higher K, lower Lumens. But why does oem give you that nice blue at only 4300K, especially when 4300K is closest to daylight = white light. OEM gives you that blue color not because of the bulbs, but because of the projectors. The way the projectors are designed gives the colorful characteristics of the light and the colorband in the cutoff.

Beggers can't be choosers, if you go HID Kit you're stuck at a choice of usuable light or "pretty" light. Get yourself a retro and you can have the best of both worlds.

a 4700K hid kit

a 8000K hid kit

both made my McCulloch.....you be the judge.

Do it right the first time around, go retro...or if that's not your thing, go 4300-5000K

get yourself some e55 projectors since they seem to be the easiest one done in integra housing. I went audi A6 but wouldn't totally recommend them since they are fragile at the reflectors. Philips or Hella ballast, and philips/osram/xenarc 4300k d2s bulbs. j

Audi a6 retroed with hella gen 3 ballast and philips 4300K d2s bulbs. They still were settling down but you get the picture. Blue light w/o the sacrafice of lumens:

Wow, all I can say is wow. Just go to pep boys (or Pep Boyzzzzzzz as you like to call it) get some **** MAD JDm hyper-blue made in china bulbs, install them, and all your ricer friends will have the upmost respect for your new "clean" look. Then about 4 hours later that "clean look" ***** the bed because you couldn't see 4 feet in front of you and drove off the road.

HID kits are about useable light, not how close to purple your beam pattern can be.
