b18b turbo or a b18c5 poll
im am looking to make my ls a quick reliable car.
i have researched the ls turbo and have found that this is reliable and the best bang for the buck
however
i have only drivin one b18c5 in my life and cant really remember how fast it was.
i am at that great point in life and am asking people who have had some time with both of these setups to give me alittle help.
if you guys were to have the choice for a ls turbo or to drop a b18c5 powerplant in there what would you do.
this is so hard!
also is the jdm b18c worth the extra money?

If you want to feel power go with the TURBO.
The b18c5 is pretty strong, but its all top end power and you dont feel anything, You basically only notice how fast it is when your racing someone next to you and you start pulling on them.
Turbo Ls on the other hand will have more torque that you can feel. If you build the block of the ls, you will also have way more power then a all motor b18c5
And i think a JDM b18c type R motor is cheaper then a USDM one, but im not sure.

i don't think very many people here will tell you to go turbo anything. this is a personal preference decision anyways, it's simple, do you want turbo or all motor. figure that out and you'll have your answer, the motor doesn't make a difference
Boost may be cool... you got a blow-off valve, an intercooler, and you can tell everybody "I'm boosted!" . But most people I know that have gone turbo... eventually blew up! And that sucks
Stock C5's may not seem that fast, and honestly they aren't! But you slowly put a little into that motor and it becomes stronger and more reliable. And I think now aday's, people respect all-motor cars alot more than boosted ones. It takes alot to get 220 WHP from an R motor, but if you got it... Its amazing!
Decide what you would rather have first, but remember, anyone that has the $ can slap on a turbo kit and make power. Go C5 and build it!!! but either way, good luck
