Default H22A Throttle Body & Coolant

i have a Accord Type R ( UK Spec )

2.2 DOHC VTEC.

im looking at fitting a STR / BDL 70mm Throttle Bodie from a prelude but i want to know if there is any problems with bypassing the coolant feed to the throttle housing.

thanks

if it gets very cold where you are then sometimes frost can form at the TB and if enough formed then it could cause the throttle plate to stick.

if your not worried about alittle cold whether then its fine. I have both my IAC and FITV bypassed and no problems.

only if it gets very cold would i keep it for saftey reasons

no the collant actaully goes from the rear water neck to the TB then out the TB to the IAC adn then from the IAC back into the motor. i just pulled all the hoses off and capped it on the rear water neck and then capped it where it returns to the motor,

the rear water neck is where the bottom radiator hose connects , it runs from the bottom radiator port on the radiator back up to the rear water neck.

the IAC is the intake air control valve. it controls the amount of air that enters the motor so that it will idle. both the throttle body which has the fast idle thermo valve (FITV) and the IAC have coolant runing thru them and are connected to the manifold and heat your air up which is bad
