Default Swapping B18C internals

If this has been covered before someone please tell me what to search for! thanks

I have a B18C GSR short block that is damaged, I was wondering if I should just ditch this one and part it out for another short block. Or just buy a bare block and transfer all the internals over. What do I need to do if I just switch the internals over? (new bearings, machining the deck, etc) thanks!

what is the damage on your bock.
Crack sleeve, broken piston, rings, crank, bearings.

all of the internals are ok, just outside pieces are broken off like the mount and stuff. I only have it because I got it for DIRT cheap. I bought it for the internals

you can use it on a ls-block or a other gsr block or type r.
ill be nice if you buy new bearings, seals, gaskets and rings.
which block are you getting

What do I need to do at the machine shop? I know I need new bearings. do they need to machine anything like the crank or the cylinders? I want to move the rods, pistons and crank over and of course use new bearings and rings. Is there anything else? thanks!

if you say that the shortblock is in good condition just get bearings and rings.
find your self a good block with good sleeves and bore it to 81.50mm. if is on your budget you can balance the crankshaft
