Assistance Needed: B20B Block/B18C Crank -Main/Rod Bearing Selection
Hey guys, short and sweet
Building a b20v
B20b block
Gsr crank
Gsr eagle rods
ACL B18C race rod bearings (standard size(
Arias 12:1 84mm pistons
Currently in the block is the b20b crank and internals w/ stock Pistons
Swapping the gsr crank and rods/bearings in.
Question is...
Can I use the same oem main bearings from the b20, or do I need to overnight some b18c mains?

^Makes me think you're on a time table to finish this engine; if you haven't already figured this out I'd recommend just calling a shop like Real Street or some other distributor that is familiar with Hondas and asking them.
Personally I have no idea if there's a difference. Some sites I look at list multiple compatibility, others specify by VTEC/Non-VTEC, others go by individual block... So I have no idea just using the part numbers unfortunately.

If the main journal markings match exactly between the GSR and B20 crank... then you can use the stock main bearings in the block and your ACL GSR rod bearings. If not, you will have to modify the stock color bearings for the GSR crank or use ACL main bearings.
