A loud a$$ sound threw my speakers??
My system was working good.. untill last night. I raced someone 1st-4th. So I guess while slamming gears something came lose on my stereo. I have a amp powering my door speakers and rear speaker. When Stereo is on it make a loud *** finger nails against chalk board sound. When I unplug 1 RCA Cable it stops. But still has like a turbo whistle sound. Does anybody know what could be there problem? Please Help me out. Its killing me. I am always having problems with my stereo. Thanks for your help.
pull out the radio and check all your connections in the back. in fact, check all the connections, it sounds like somethings loose somewhere.

I'm leaning more to the arguement that street racing is for douchebags. grow up a little.

So. I bet that if you stop street racing and typing in bold, the noise will go away.

you forgot to mention growing up
on a side note..that must be one hell of a sound to actually throw your speakers.

All these smart people on H-T cant tell me what the problem could be?</TD></TR></TABLE>, sounds like a short to me, start by disconnecting all the speakers at the amp, reconnect one at a time, if you can get some of the speakers connected without the "nails on chalk board sound" the speaker you connect the gives you "the" sound is shorting out or the speaker lead/s to it are shorting out, if you can't hook up even one speaker without "the" sound then it's not the speakers so I would unplug the RCAs and just hook up another set, [just run them over the seats till you see if the RCAs are the problem] if you still have noise then the next thing I would do is plug in another source into the amp, [Walkman, d
Discman, iPod, even the output of a buddies HU] just use a long set of RCAs, if noise is gone the problem is in your HU, if the noise is still there there is a problem with your amp, IMO the sound you describe is the sound of output/s blowing on the amp.

this man speaks the truth... i had the same problem but i just told everyone that i got turbo and the noise they heard was my car spoolin haha... but yea just check the ground n make sure its makin good contact. if not that then you have to take your amp to get looked at possibly.
