hey guys just trying to hook up my air/fuel gauge which of the 4 wires on my o2 sensor is the signal wire

should wire it to the o2 sensor wire that connects to the ecu. so then it would depend on the ecu.

 

the green wire is the signal wire. the two black are for the heater and the white is ground

errrrrrrrr it isnr working i am trying to hook my air/fuel ratio gauge up i did red to power black to ground adn green to the green on my o2 sensor, still wont work anyone help????????????

 

which car?
where are you connecting it?
(at the O2 or at the ECU)

oof, you did say which car in the title didn't you. sorry, reading>me.

like monicle said hook it to the wire at the ECU. That signal is not super strong, any amount of unsheilded wire you can get rid of when you're tapping into it is a good thing.

O2 wires:
white at the O2
white (D7) at the ECU

NOTE: the O2 signal wire is sheilded after the plug, it's a normal looking wire but simply cutting it or even stripping it to splice into, may result in the sensor shorting out to ground.
If you're going to tap into it at the O2 keep your splice as close to the connector as you can. (max 1" away)
If you're doing it the smart way and tapping into it at the ECU it's the same way but you have a little more room to strip the wire. (max 2" from ECU connector)

 

ok so i splice it into d-7 am i right now do you know a link where i can see what d-7 wire is exactly

if you're using a converison harness to run an OBD1 ECU then you can connect to C14 on the OBD1 side, same connection but IMO it's better to splice into a conversion harness rather than the main harness.
