how can check and see if a motor is stolen or not?
i have a frend that knows some guy selling a b18c block and i want to buy it but i dont know if i can trust him or not so i was wonderind do ne body in here knows how can i check if the block is stolen or not?

u can carfax them? uhhhhh......... i dont think so, the engine code is SHORT! a vin is 17 #'s i think, the engine code isn't that long........

Make sure that the motor is not restamped also. Take a reallllll good look at the vin and see if any numbers are crooked or something like that. Trust me, you don't wanna get stuck with a stolen motor. Not that I ever did but....It will suck afterwards.

Doesn't matter if a JDM motor is stolen or not - there's no way to track it in the U.S...no VIN.

I'm lost...what are you talking about?
