How to know if I have a real B18C5 head and not a B16A/B18C1 head ? I have been searching like hell on this for days and have come up with only things like PR3 casted on the front face of the head near the exhaust manifold, green paint on the head behind the distributor, P72(For non-type R) casted near the distributor from the top. What about these few circles casted on the front face near the exhaust manifold? They seem to have some digits in them. Anyone can help me end my misery of this guessing game?

 

So you couldnt tell from the other things mentioned?

You didn't mention any of the porting. Is the head off of the car.

 

See if the intake valves have a taper to the stems...
