Default How can I identify a Type R head?

No valve cover, just the head itself minus cams.

Why do people say this? They're NOT always brand new. Mine sure as hell isn't. Neither is anyone elses I've seen with a green mark.

Cross reference the casting numbers and serial number that is on the exhaust side of the head with info from Honda. I have a Japanese parts CD-ROM if you need help.

What do you mean? The heads are always brand new. The Transmission and Block are remanufactured.

I think you can tell the difference between a sharpie and the paint that is on the head.

Look into the intake ports. OEM ITR valves have thin stems.

ITR Valve springs are not thicker. ITR Exhaust Valve Springs are GSR Intake Valve Springs that they move to the exhaust. Part numbers are indentical.
