20-30 hp out of a 95 accord ex
ya its me again, i got alot of info from my last post about accord performance parts and was wondering what would be the easiest way to get like 20 to 30 hp or more out of the motor like with parts and not like turbo or nitrous, sry if these questions are kinda noobish but im kinda new to honda's
thanks
Jesse

i know most people tell you to start with the basic bolt-ons (intake, header, exhaust) but those really wont give you the gains you are looking for. you could try getting a better cam, maybe a new gear as well, and some higher compression pistons (i dont know how hard f22 pistons are to find). with all that and a good tune, i think you could pull that off... there are a few good things to do, but overall im guessing that it will involve a fair amount of money to do, but who knows maybe im wrong.
thanks

im not sure how much gain you will get but i am going to guestimate on this
Intake 8hp
Cat-Back exhaust ( 10-15)
turbonator! lol (upto 35hp doubtful lmao)
Jet Ecu Package (will adjust air/fuel and give you a little more uuhhhmmmpphhh)
Port and Polish (a couple hp)
MagnaFlow High flow cat (prob like 8)
if you have heavy subs take them out and your call will roll alot better
AEM Fuel Rail
Fuel Pressure regulator
H22 or f22 DOHC Head
Pully Kit
Adjustable Cam Gear
again there are estimates on the gain im not a professional at this lol

also, you are an OBD1 car, so you could also get your ECU chipped alot easier, which could let you run hondata or some other programs... a chipped ecu would make tuning alot easier which could help you get more power
reground cam
h23 intake manifold
throttle body
intake
header
high flow cat/test pipe
2.25" catback
basic tune up
possibly pulleys and lightweight flywheel (to reduce rotating mass and increase response)
light weight smaller diameter wheels (15-16"...again to reduce rotational mass)
chipped ecu with a tune
altogether this should give you around the increase you are looking for while still remaining mostly bolt on (slight modding may be required for the IM swap).

your guesstimates are WAY TOO HIGH there.
try:
intake = 2-3 hp
cat back = 2-3 hp
turbonator = GARBAGE
high flow cat = 2 hp
jet ECU = nice HP gain but you have to run 93 octane afterward

ur kidding right? 10-15 hp with a cat back out of our F series?? dats quite a gain even by turbo'd motor standards

my guesses might be off and thats why i said im not sure about the gains

thank you for elaborating that for all of us well atleast he (she) got an idea what mods to put on besides the turbonator lol

higher compression pistons and a little bit of work to the head...thankfully the stock block has iron sleeves, so you won't need to get those installed to mate with the forged pistons...you can easily see 20-30 hp that way, if not more...but you probably won't see 30 hp w/o internal work...
93accordnos sold his accord and took his fully built f22 and put it into a civic. Made 176 whp and ran a 13.2 all motor. Hes running crower rods, wiesco 13:1 pistons, k series ferrera valves crower dual valve springs and titanium retainers, darton sleeves and an SCE copper HG. Hes planning make a lot of power on the motor w/ nitrous.
13:1CR is alot of compression for just 176whp, needless to say it will take alot of work for 20-30 whp
