Default fan doesnt work

My fan doesnt work since i took my motor out the first time. Anyone have any suggestions as to why it wont work? or things i could check for. I check the fuse and it was blown, replaced and it sitll wont turn on. What else could be wrong?

Who cares?.........although this is a "cheap-way-out".......just get the two wires, ground one to the chasis and connect the other to the ignition - or a switch.

Apply 12v to each fan and see if they actually work, but sounds like an open wire somewhere since you replaced the fuse and still nothing. Could also have a faulty cooling fan timer unit(right beside the ecu), radiator fan relay(under hood fuse box), condensor fan relay( by powersteering res).

Check that the ECT switches are functioning correctly. That is what triggers the fans to come on at hot temps. MY car did this when I first had it. Did u flash the ECU memory?

Go to the dealership and get a new relay.

could you explain without the lingo? i have the same problem. what is the ECT? flash the ECU memory? i have checked everything and hotwired the fan itself. all relays have been replaced as well as every sensor on the head that would have anything to do with cooling.

sry. ECT is Engine Coolant Temperature. And flashing the ECU memory is resetting the engine computer. You do this by unhooking the negative battery cable for 30 seconds or so. That just clears everything and lets teh ECU start fresh.

The switches and sensors on the head are the ones IM referring to.
There are two ECT switches and one ECT sensor I believe. Look in your manual to see where they are and it shows you how to test them. If you need a manual i can provide you with one.

Is your car just over heating? or is the fan not coming on?
