Default alarm light wiring to door panels

i was just wondering.. the other day i opened up my door panels and discovered that there was a small red bulb with wires neatly tied just hanging there... how can i hook this up to my alarm system to put it to good use? i think both sides also have this bulb.

my existing LED doesnt really seem too bright, what makes it like this? should i try using a newer bulb? do you even need a bright bulb? i want one that people will NOTICE... how much wattage or amp is the typical car led? does the brightness even matter? i just want it to be more noticable

Well... most LEDs are pretty bright. And I would not worry about how bright it is anyways. the thing is placement, you want a theif to know your car is armed. But screwing up the placment is pretty hard anyways cause a theif is gonna look for it no matter what. I am pretty damn sure that any normal LED on your door/glass line is gonna be pretty obvious. And anyone who would break into it would just be someone that does not care if you have an alarm or not..... they want your ****! Even from like 10 feet away, I can see the ones they have on newer Jettas. And that is also in like a lit parking garage.... and the Jettas have small LEDs. Trust me... just put the ones you have in about where a top mount doorlock would go, and you are set
