bashpot makes car idle at 3000

bashpot makes car idle at 3000

when I hook any sort of vaccuum line to the bashpot on the throttlebody the idle jumps to 3000 rpm.....I have tried several different vaccuum sorces but everyone seems to give me the same problem. any ideas?

what motor? if you have a bseries in your ef you dont need a vacuum line goin to it, just plug it

I have tried hookin into that one....my setup is a y8 mani with a b18 throttle body.....if it is hooked up the car will idle at 3000 rpm....if not it idles at 500...is my Dashpot bad??
