K my friend has an amp and a sub hooked up in his hatch. When he is driving the headunit makes a weird sound that gets higher with the rpms. .. it kinda sounds like a turbo with no BOV lol. ..We were thinking that it might be the ground but we aren't sure. . anyone know what might be causing this? And i did search to no avail, TIA!

 

Check your ground wire. Also what kind of headunit is it? Are you running aftermarket amps? I hope your headunit is not about to take a $hit on you. Because it could be internal.

 

Thanks for the reply, the head unit and amp is Pioneer DEH-P 2600 unit and, power acoustic 520W amp. Hope that helps any. One person told me the wires are too long? and another said the power wire is too close to the speaker wires. .confusing stuff.

 

sometimes that happens when u run the power and rca wires along to the back together

 

Actually if you really had to you could run the rca's parralel with the power wire they can't cross each other. But if you have shitty rca's it's a different story
