Default changed my wheel bearing but....

Hey guys my front wheel bearing was making a loud squeeling noise last week, so i bought a used complete hub set up.. control arm, rotor ect. I changed my old one and put in the new one.. today i was driving and the same squeel/squeeking noise came back. is there any other part that would make that noise? or might the wheelbearing in this hub also be bad.
thanks for the help

A used bearing? that might be the problem, especially if it has been sitting there for a while.

The only other thing I can thing of is maybe the caliper or pads are rubbing a bit, but that sound would instantly go away with application of the brakes.

yea when i hit the brakes it's not as loud, but i can still kinda hear the sound. Do you think it can be the brake pads?

could be the pads or maybe the rotor needs to be turned. I once had the inside of a rotor become solid glazed rust. it was messed. Take a look. When was the last time you had that stuff changed/cleaned/inspected?

i just changed it yesterday. the rotor had a fair amount of rust on it, but i figured it would just rub off after a while. I changed everything but i kept the same brake caliper. should i just buy a wheel bearing from honda? Or should i try changing my brake pads?

Hard to say, look to see if that rust is still there. I don't know what else to tell you.

does it make a tinny ringing noise?

or do you actually feel the bearing is bad when you rotate the wheel by hand?

grab the tire at the 12 and 6 position, like on a clock..the wheel/tire should have no movement it should be very firm. Normally wheel bearings will make a loud humming noise as speed increases and stay constant. Check the brakes out, the pad should have more material than the backing plate itself, rotor should not be rusted where pad makes contact on rotor. If you don't know what you are doing, take it to a shop. Or go to an auto parts store buy a can of disc brake anti-squeak, take the caliper off, spray the back of the pads, lube the caliper slides with syl-glide, take some 400 grit sandpaper and go around the rotor lightly in a circular motion. My recomendation, just take it to a shop and have them check the front end and do a brake inspection.

alright guys first off thanks for all of your help..

So I was on my way to school tonight and the same whining noise continued the whole way there. I got out of class and was on my way home and the noise stoped as i hit the stepped on the brake. After that the noise did not return. I am assuming that the rust that was on the rotor finally all came off..
