Default How do I remove the cable from my accelerator pedal?

Please I need help, and yes I have searched but found no actual answers.

I need to remove the brake and accelerator assembly so I can replace them after I did a auto-manual swap.

I have just having trouble getting the accelerator cable removed from the pedal.

It appears to be held in by a white clip, does anyone know how to remove this white clip?

its a clip. On the back of the white theres a push in on both sides. Push one in while you pull and the whole thing will come out.

stick your head under there. put some slack on the cable, it helps if you disconnect it from the throttle body first. once there is sufficient slack it is similiar to how it goes to the throttle body.

if you removed it you will know. if you dont remove it look at how it goes in the throttle body for reference.

its very simple.

This man is correct.

I took a picture to help others, I will post it when I get home.

If your doing a auto-5speed conversion, you don't need to remove the whole gas and brake pedal assembly. just change the brake pedal. Its a big 14mm or 17mm bolt at the top of the pedal i think. if you change the whole thing including the gas pedal you'll need a 5speed throttle cable. auto and 5speed are different.

conversion is done, cable is good.

Also needed to change out the accelerator because I needed the bracket with the cruise control cable to attach to.
