If you don't drive your itr much, how often should you start it?
I always thought once a week or once every two weeks is sufficient to get the fluids circulating and let the car warm is enough.
Is there be a better procedure?
And would there be a preferable way of doing things for allmotor vs turbo?
I'm just curious as I may start driving my itr less in the future.....

I wish my neighbor would take your advice. He starts his '69 Camaro everyday! Doesn't drive it, just warms it up. Thing stinks like race gas and shakes my townhouse. I flipping hate it.

He took me out already, its a beast, without a doubt. The front wheels come off the ground. I was scared.
But still, everyday is a little excessive.

I dont think it matters much. I would not start it all winter then when it got warmer I would drive it once a week or every 2 weeks or so as I had time. I dont think it matters though.
Same **** with my Supra. Let it sit all winter and then drive it once and a while when its warm out. Ill prob drive it all the time this year when it gets warmer out. I miss it.

lol, it's like living close to a train track and anticipating the train coming through and shaking all the glass off the shelves.

i've let mine sit for 6 months at a time. just have to keep the battery charged.
as long as you have a fuel and oil stabilizer mixed in with the fluids you can let it sit as long as you want, with-in reason of course.

my cars been in storage since 9/05 (look in bio) weekly start ups (two weeks require a sec. turn of the ignition...thats a no no) 5 min idles, then its put in 2nd gear and idled another 10 minutes. no fuel additive, or battery disconnect. never a problem and no weird smoke or smells.
