Default when i start my car it turns off after 5 min???

ok i start up my car, and i leave it run for about 10 min to warm up. then i drive for about 2 miles, then the rpms jumps up and down only up to 2k, but when i drive it for more tham 5 or 10 miles its fine and it dosent jump the rpms? i guess it only happens when its cold or in the moring, or if i let it sit for a while ? if any one else has this problem help out? because it happens when i just start up its not a big issue only when i turns off on me.

This confused the HELL out of me. What!?!?

The title says 5 min, but you warm up for 10 min, then you throw miles into this. Where in all of this does the car turn off????

Does your temp gauge rise to H (as in Hot).

It wont matter, it'll run fine overheated right up until it seizes.

If you are running overheated it could you your temp sensor gone bad. That could be the issue.

Not really, the car only runs about 5 minutes if i'm reading this right. Bad temp sensor wont really do anything. Might possibly cause idle issues if the ECU always thinks the engine is cold, but thats about it. I mean you can hold a D-series against the rev limiter with no coolant in it for a good 10 - 15 minutes before it will seize. Even at that you would know it was overheating if it was that bad. Your post is kind of confusing, but these honda's don't have any kind of thermal shutdown, they depend on the operator to know enough to shut the engine off it overheats if thats what you were getting at.

My guess if I had to make one would be bad ignition switch, they have been known to do pretty much exactly what the OP is talking about.

Sounds like a bad ignition swithc 2 me... But I am by no means qualified to make that judgement.
