Default would it be safe if i reinforce my manifold by means of arc welding...stick welding?????

i was thinking bout reinforcing my turbo mani. because i've heard some bads things about them cracking....so what would you suggest doin???i have an arc welder...so is it possible with the arc???

depends obviously what manifold you infact have. If you have one that is in any way shape, or form like the one pictured above...Please throw it in the trash, and sew them for damages...

Yea once you start welding on those SSAC mani's its generally down hill from there. The material around the welds will keep cracking until you have nothing left but a mani made of welds

No it wont work very well at all. Use it as a paperweight and it will always remind you of the lesson you have learned. SSAC is the worst manifold on the face of the earth.


on a side note the hell is up with the sponsored link on the word turbo?

Idk, that manifold is gunna stay, I am building another motor and thats where my money goes

Do NOT reinforce the manifold. Reinforce the turbo and wastegate mounts. If you can mount the turbo in such a way that you can remove the manifold without having to remove the turbo, and you have a flex joint in the exhaust, then you will never have a problem with the manifold cracking, even if it is a SSAC.

I was joking around, me and Drew have a friend who was using an ss autoshits manifold, it cracked about 30 times.
