to find out more about d-series turboing....go here http://www.turbod16.com/
personally i run n/a, so i dont know much about turbos....but im pretty sure that any turbo you put in will not pass smog unless it is a carb exempt turbo kit (i.e. greddy, etc).

ok took a look at the motor to day its a d16z6 . ill post some pics later if i can. so is this a good motor to start with or i should say to boost. thanks
if you have a d16z6 then you have an Si model Del Sol.
either that or the previous owner swapped that motor into your S model.
either way you're gonna have to swap in a motor that's NEWER than than the chassis of your car (i.e. - if you have a 93-95 then you must get a motor that's 96+).
i'd either get an b18b or a d16y8 from the 96+ Civic EX's and boost that.

why swap out a z6 for a y8?
why swap out a z6 for a y8?
^^i was talkin' about if he was still plannin' on gettin an engine swap....as in a lower mileage y8.
but you're absolutely right...no need to swap it out...the z6 can be boosted as well.
