Re: my DelSol Vtec wont pass smog
Just about any engine system not working properly can affect emissions. So, to get the best emissions possible, you need to check all of the systems. First make sure that all of the regular maintenance items are fairly new- air filter, fuel filter, oil filter, PCV valve, thermostat, gas cap, radiator cap, distributor cap and rotor, plugs and wires. Next, check and clean the grounds. Check your spark at all four wires to make sure your whole ignition is strong. Check the ignition and valve timing. Replace the timing belt and tensioner spring if they are old. Check the MAP sensor voltage to see if it is working properly and to check for vacuum leaks. Clean the TB, IACV, FITV and IAT sensor. You may want to get a new O2 sensor if it is old. Check the valve clearances. Finally, you should borrow a fuel pressure gauge from a parts store and check the fuel pressure. If you go through this entire tune up, you'll want to check/flush/bleed/top off your fluids to finish the job right even though most won't affect emissions. You can also check the compression but fixing that is, of course, a much bigger task than the tune up items listed here. GL

ok first things first your check engine light is not on but your numbers are high ok so it sounds like your ecu may be chipped by chiping your ecu it alows the chip to delet some sensores witch is y your not throwing a check engine light also another reason you might not have a check engine light is someone may have taken out the bulb so
