Default High Pitch Humm

Hi Guys.. Not too sure if this is normal or not but on a really really hot day, 41 degrees Celsius but for you americans its 113 Degrees Fahrenheight, I just recently noticed that there was like a mosquito like hum noise resonating through the exhaust and continued to hum 5-10 seconds after I turned off the car.

Has anyone have anything similar or does some guru know what that is? Its definately not coming from the engine and sounded like it was coming from the cat area to the muffler.

Thanks in advance

Are you dragging a kangaroo under your car, perhaps?

That is really weird, I usually can't hear anything after my car shuts off, besides boiling of coolant from my turbo. (hissssssss.bubblebubblebubble...bubble.....hiss.. .)

Is it really coming from the exhaust itself? try tapping it with a screwdriver and see if it resonates at the same frequency.

It's the vacuum in your motor escaping through the intake tract... do you have an aftermarket cai or anything? It will be readily audible for those 10 seconds after you shut off the car from under your hood.
