Jus eliminate the crank sensor on the motor and consider it obd1..You can use the obd2 distributor when converting your harness to obd1..There just arent many tuning options with obd2 hondas..So like said your best bet is convert to obd1 and run a chipped p28..

TY very much for your input. I was told by my cousin to buy a GSR ECU. and when researching the p28 I thought that they were out of a SOHC engine. that is why I picked the p72 because it stated that it was out of a DOHC. but none the less thanks for the reply's everyone and I will take your advice and purchase a p28. now when I wire up the obd1 does anyone know where I can go to view a step by step on what to do to my harness so it all matches up?
thanks again
thanks again

Thats why everyone is saying "chipped" p28..p28 chipped with timing/fuel maps for whatever motor you're using..
As far as converting to obd1 you could get one of those jumper harnesses and be done with it..But if you want to try it yourself check this out..http://www.knology.net/~jediklc/obd0toobd1swap.htm
