I don't actually own a Civic at the moment, but my next build is going to consist of a turbo d-series into a 2000'ish Civic EX, shooting for some high hp numbers. I like to plan out my mods beforehand so I don't have to encounter them down the road.

With a properly installed and tuned turbo kit, is there any check engine lights that are associated with a turbo kit install? Like, on my 200sx SER, once you install a turbo kit the car throws codes for EGR that cannot be removed. In my county in TN, you have OBD Emissions testing for 96 or newer cars and I don't want to be stuck with a ride that can't get tags, I have too many tickets in the past to have anymore for something silly.

if you buy a carp legal kit and install it correctly, you won't see any check engine lights. but you arent going to pass emissions with a high hp d series... that's obvious...

 

Actually, With any turbo kit, even htk, you should not have a cel on if its properly installed and properly tuned. Don't know about emissions, don't have to worry about hat here.
