Default Adjusting Ground Controls

I just got some koni yellows with eibach ground control coil overs on my car. I decided i want to raise it up a little bit so i raise the back up no problem but i can hardly budge the adjuster in the front. I guess its because trying to compress a spring by hand by turning the adjuster is pretty hard. If any one else has this combo, what do you do to adjust the ride height? Am I gonna have to get a spring compressor in order to be able to move the adjuster up?

I thought coilovers have a little lock on them.
You use the tool to unlock the coilover and turn it to adjust the height.

yeah, i unlocked it but it's still to hard to move. It seems to be cause the spring is compressed already and trying to turn it is trying to compress the spring even more which is very hard...

What you described is what is happening. I used penetration oil, and that will usually slick them up enough that I can move them with my hands a bit further.

Otherwise, I use a pair of giant channel locks. It'll probably chew them up a bit around the outside though.

I do this with a little oil, and they turn no problem. You can pick up a set of spanner wrenches cheap from any "tuner" shop. If you don't have any in the area Pegasus has them for 9 bux

there shouldn't be that much compression from the spring once you jack up the car. one my buddies car when you jack it up, you get about a 4"+ gap from the top of spring to the bumpstop or whatever, if you can't find a spanner, use a flathead screwdriver and a hammer and tap the rings, opposite ways at the same time, you might need another hand but it shoudl work. that's what I did.
