does honda make a set of .030" piston rings for a h22a4? ive been battling this build with the wrong rings repeatedly, thinkin the dealer sent me the wrong ones a second time around, it looks as if the block has been bored .030".....so therefore my question....where can i get a set of stock-material rings (oem) for a h22a4 motor.

Yes i searched my *** off

Thank you to whoever can help me out on this situation.

ok i just had a friend "mike" the pistons...they are exactly 87mm
they fit in the cylinders snug like normal....so therefore one would assume that the cylinders are also 87mm. yet i ordered 2 sets of Honda Oem rings so far and both sets are not within specs. the first set i ordered was for a 2001 h22a4 p/n 13011-p5m-013 these had about a 1/4" ring gap when in the cylinder....second set i got i told them i was using 93 h22a1 pistons p/n 13021-p13-013 this part number doesnt even match up to the part number on the honda websites.....i ordered mine from lute riley honda in richardson texas because they are cheaper than majestic in Rhode Island. anyhow these rings are .025 Oversized and they have less gap but still .025 gap on the top ring and over that for the 2nd ring. i am using a typical feeler guage that i have built other motors with and never had this problem...of course i have never bought honda oem rings before...i always used aftermarket rings. but im trying to put a complete stock motor back in this car so if anyone knows what is going on here can you please let me know before i go insane...im trying to get this car running before warm weather so i can get it into a paint booth. thanks again for any comments

hmm not sure what to tell you. sounds like you've definately got the wrong rings though. does the first set of rings you got correspond to anything on majestics site?

one more thing i did happen to find out that on another site it says that one of these sets of rings..in which i have not tried yet are Riken brand rings??????? not sure about these or if their fitment is any different. i am way behind on getting this motor together and first time i have ever ever ran into a problem like this.

basic info

2001 h22a4 block
1992-1996 h22a pistons and rods 10.0:1c/r

maybe i have the wrong information on what the ring gap should be....if anyone knows that for a 2001 block please throw it...otherwise im searchin for more knowledge

You should have had a friend 'timothy' or 'david' them instead.
