Default Help with 1.6 non vtec to 1.6 vtec

Well I did the swap (d16y7) 99civic coupe in my 93 civic HB with a d16y8 head
im having a few problems.
some info....
no cel
brand new exhaust with header front to back
-no cel
-d16y8 block
-d16z6 head
-all d16z6 computer, harness, injectors, sensor, intake, tb, timing belt, and camsprocket.
-valves adjusted
-timed to 16deg. Before TDC
-fuel pressure checked and perfect
-injectors good
-compression outstanding
BUT!!!
Car misses slightly at idle, vibrates and rough thru entire rpm range(may be another problem), runs fairly rich. I think its timing!!! I was using a d16y7 timing belt just changed it to d16z6 belt, they seem the same, still having those problems. HELP ME!!!
Im thinking timing gear, but im not a big time honda engine builder i know SOME of you guys are so if you can help me out id love ya....
Steve
PS
-cool tibit of info.... stock d16y7 suppose to time to 12 deg before TDC but as i read with the Z6 head to time to 16 deg. which most hondas are. Car runs poor at 12 before tdc.
Thanks
