tach no work after swap

tach no work after swap
i just swapped out my z6 for a b16 and now my tach doesnt work, everything else in the cluster is working perfectly but the tach wont work. where do i start trouble shooting?

my speedo is working, its the tach thats not working. and i used the harness from the si with the eg plugs on it, but the guy i got it from said his tach worked perfectly in his car
