Just like the title says...

When I let off the brakes, say, at a stop light, I hear a small quick squeak. Anybody know what this could be? It's difinatly outside the cabin of the car.

Any help would be great.

 

Have you checked your power break fluid, Rotors, Pads etc? You may find your problem located in those areas.

 

My rotors are good. My fluid is full. My pads are AEM w/ about 10,000 on 'em.

The sound doesn't really sound like a metal on metal squeak. It's a little lower toned. More like a quick, high pitched hum that lasts for about a half a sec just as I let off the brake pedal. I don't have to be rolling to hear it. Just when I release the brake pedal, after I push it in.

 

Its the actual spring on the pedal itself...dun wry alota older hondas do it

 

damn to bad i got into this thread early... i can only imagine the things people could have you pullin apart with this one.

its probably your rear drums returning to place.
after they get some wear to them they will squeak as they rub across the backing plate to return to the at rest position. every once in a while you might get the same noise taking off the ebrake, but rarely.
