Default ? about type R engine

K i have a type R and i know they redline at 8, so is it safe for me to go past 7 on an regular integra?

That is why ECUs have rev limiters (fuel cutoff). Sure you can get creative and mechanically overrev the engine by downshifting to 2nd gear at 100MPH, but why would someone want to do that?

BTW: The ITR fuel cutoff is 8400RPM and the GSR fuel cutoff is 8200 RPM. This is related primarily to the valve train components.
