EGR, PCV, EVAP, etc.?
I am planning to do a B18B swap into my 97 HX. I have been reading up a lot about B-series swaps into EKs. But I haven't seen anything about connecting the EGR valve, PCV lines and valve and the EVAP system on the new motor. I was wondering if most people just did away with the EGR and EVAP system. Just wanna make sure I have everything I need before I begin my swap, cause its also my daily driver. Thanks.
Use the ECU for the Engine.
Which would mean the EGR system is gone.
PCV system (valve & hose) should be included with the swap.
EVAP system can be simply vented into the atmosphere if you don't care, but since it does absolutely nothing to the power of the engine and only operates while cruising I hooked mine up correctly. It is one hose to the intake mani which should be semi-obvious which one.
the wires for the EVAP purge valve should be there.

correct. and since it operates only at steady cruising speeds, you actually get better gas mileage. so its a plus.
