Default Car overheated

My car overheated today (stayed below the red a little over the center mark) and I pulled over checked coolant and it was fine reserve tank had coolant and as I drove it would cool but when I was stopped at a light it would climb up, what do you think caused this? Possily air bubbles? I just removed the cap in my garage let it idle to get it up to center point and bubbles were rising to the top what that my issue? I mean now I can idle for a while and I won't over heat and my heat is nice and warm already.. should i worry

Cliffs: Car overheated and when I got home I removed rad cap and bubble came up to the top is everything OK was it just air?

Thanks

prolly just air, bleed the system with the bleeder screw if you have it, dont worry, unless it happens again.

I agree with GOcarinteg go check your thermostat. It is probably that or your radiator.

it could have been the air bubbles, but check your thermostat like they said.
