Newbee! 87 Hodna Civic SI will not start...i have spark and fuel...but still no start
The thing ran fine a month ago...then it was parked for a month...during that time, the previous owner was messing with the spark plugs, and who knows what else, but not it wont start.
It will turn over, i can smell fuel, and i know there is spark at the plugs. What is my next step? He mentioned something about it being 90 out and messing with the firing order and the placement of the wires on the cap to get it running...whatever. I have never heard of such a thing, but i know it ran at one time, and that was after he "modified the wiring locations"
Ive never had a Hodna before, so i dont know anything about em...and im not getting off to a good start here!
Here is what i know about it... 1987 SI, 5 speed, 1.5 fuel injection 223,000 miles...ticked like a *****...but it ran great for what it was!
Thanks for your input!
Peace.

well if he says he was messing around with the firing order and spark plugs id be checking out the ignition system
step one: goto parts store and buy $10 book.
Step two follow books instrustion on firing order.
step three change the oil every 3,000 miles and don't forget to hit the brakes when coming to a red light...
Not 200% sure about pre-88 hondas, but its improssible to have a 88'+ "90 out" since the dizzy only fits in one way...

actually you can ive seen people cram it on and be 180 off but if you look at it you can see how to do it right.

hehehe, yea, it sux that I've seen that too, hehe... I've assamed, hehe...
Anyway, it should be fairly easy to go on one way, and SUPER hard to go on the other way, hehe..
Yea "180 out", not "90 out" hehehe...
