.20 over bore...20 over....i got my engine bored 20 over also...bore doesnt really add hp, its more about displacement. Whats the main reason your even boring your motor? if you take ur engine apart and the miles are getting up there you should also change all gaskets, bearings, water pump, resurface your head, and maybe a valve job, you dont just bore your engine....

if it were me and i wasnt sleeving the block for boost i would bore cylinders as little as possible so u dont compromise the integrity of them.

boring isnt meant for power really, and duh your not just going to get your engine bored...pistons have to fit snug...i dont get why you want to bore the hell out of your motor. its just a little extra displacement, and like the other guy said, if ur going to use nos or forced induction, you wont want .40 over. thats too much, that means the pistons will be closer together and can ruin your block. its a drag car? whats it run? for the money, if you dont need pistons, you can make a lot more power out of other things...bore isnt like nos or anything. i think you have the wrong perspective on it...

Any good machine shop can do it for you. they bore the block to fit the pistons cast or forged makes a difference on the clearance's. I am sure they will want the pistons before the do the work.

ALWAYS....If a shop bores you block w/o pistons, they are FAWKING out of their head and do not know what the hell they're doing.
