anybody want to post some pics of an aftermarket shift knob w/ stock boot?
Yeah...my shiftknob is worn and the chrome is flaking off the ring on my car. It sucks, because it sliced my pinkie open the other day. I don't want to change the boot cuz there's nothing wrong with it, but the top of the boot is rectangular so I want to see which shiftknobs don't look lame with the stock boot...
so...post 'em if you got 'em
Thanks.

they're all gonna look pretty bad. take out the square piece and get the circular black piece from an integra or a civic.

just take out that lil piece....scuff off the old chrome paint and paint it flat black, maybe even a clear coat on it to protect it and give it a lil shine, problem solved
When I bought my DC sports **** it came with a round piece of plastic with tabs to connect to the oem one, then I carved all the crome off the square one and painted it black.

i have a type-r shift boot, looks good with aftermarket shift ***** like dc sport (which i have, and sanded to an aluminum finish) or skunk2. but the red stitch does look kinda rice. you could get a US civic or integra boot, they look the same but with black stitch.

the shift **** and boot are help together by some clips, if you just wiggle the shift boot and pull down it will come free of the shift ****. then the **** just unscrews from the shift arm.

you can just get a ring from like a civic/integra shift boot...all that's holding that ring is a ziptie
