Detonation and pre-ignition are so closely related that it is often difficult to distinguish one from the other.

well i detonated it to hell, we did a compression test today and it read
#1 215
#2 115
#3 125
#4 215

now i have 3 options,
1: rebuild it stock and sell it
2: sell it as is
3: spend another 7000, and build it n/a and get about 235 whp

Hello,

I have some similiar problems. I bought a 94 vtec Prelude "stock" which needed just a clutch cylinder. I got a really good deal and I'm using it as my driver now. Although if I sold it I could make a good amount of money. I love the damn car, but have winter bills to pay.

I guess it's based on the amount of money you have. I have no clue what to do because I have no idea whats better. Peace of mind, or fun?

So Id say if you had the money and it wont break you then fun def overrules a quick buck.

Sounds to me like a nitrous backfire...

Your best bet is to rebuild the engine... sleeves, pistons, rods, etc.

with $7000 you can make a lot more then just 235whp, but with boost.

haha, shoulda gone SSAutoChrome!

but really.. to the O/P, make sure you do research on your pieces for your build. I know people have had some issues with OBX's fit and finish.

if your going to run an OBX mani. you might as well run a ford tempo head. Ditch the OBX **** man, you don't want to run into other problems after you finish your rebuild

OBX = POS

Find a better manifold. It'll save you the headaches
