-93 DX HB w/D15z1 swap
OK, Im drivin in to town 1 day and I noticed white smoke coming
from my steering counsel.
Headlights were on at the time this happend.

Later that day drove w/lights off and no smoke.

That night I go to turn on lights and just my parking, and
instrument lights work.

Just need some quik tips. Do not know why Im getting HOT wires.
Need help ASAP!!!!! Thanks.

 

you fried some wires, pull off the plastic and see if you can find em

did u do any recent changes to your car?

 

I scooped the car up from a friend and he did the swap.
He says the only wiring he did is just the VTEC.

So nobody touched any wiring inside the counsel.

is everything working fine?

 

I can't turn my lights on, just the cluster, and the parking lights.

I found the burn, but its inside a black box that the turn & windshield
levers are connected to.

The box is what was smoking, cause part of it is melted.

So I'm guessing thats were the short is ( inside the box ).

 

those things short out often, go to a junkyard or look on here for a new one, slap it on and you should be good to go
