Default Who knows about dizzys? 97 Civic Coupe EX

Ok so my car still sporadically bogs as it's accelerating.

I have replaced the following:
plugs
wires
dizzy rotor
dizzy cap
fuel filter
air filter
oil filter

I know some of that wouldn't be the cause of the problem...but I'm thinking it has something to do with the ignition.

Could it be a problem with the coil?

ok here's a diagram of what goes on when I accelerate, vroom means accelerate, bog means uh...bog...

vroo...boooooooog...vroooom....bog...vrooo...boooo ooooooooog....vroooooom...bog...

etc etc...

Car runs fine, doesn't throw any cels, leaks a tiny amount oil but I heard it's not an uncommon problem with d16y8s where one of the seals leaks...

Does it bog as if you were hitting a limit or some sort? When exactly does it do this?

nope, it bogs on and off as I'm accelerating, is most noticable when I'm in the lower range but still does it as i'm driving...it's really random when it happens but happens very frequently, every time i accelerate, thanks

not sure about the exacts, but if you're looking for a cheap great quality dizzy, check out distributor king. i got mine for $69 including 2 day shipping. they are a sponsor here and are on ebay. they sent me a clear blue cap with mine, which some thought to be gay, but it goes well with my car color. anyway, check em out. oh yeah, 2 year warranty with no core charge. and a 10% honda tech discount.

So maybe it is a problem with the distributor? Thanks for the information I'll check them out.
