Clifford Remote red LED constantly on

Everytime I press one of the buttons on my clifford remote the red LED will not go off unless I take the battery out. Buttons do not look like they are sticking.

Any ideas?

my friends did that but he had the lcd screen he just took it to where he bought it and thye replaced the remote for him.
