Default Radiator question

I was removing the ac condenser today on my 89 dx 5 speed and once I got it off and pulled the ac fan out I looked down and saw this nipple sticking out from the bottom of the radiator. Should this be capped off or something? And is it possible this is a radiator for an automatic?

Dont worry bout it. It you were running an auto, youd have lines hooked into the radiator, but since you arent the nipple serves no purpose.

Nope, coolant would come out of the main nipples (large upper/lower ones).. Auto tranny fluid would come out of the ones in that pic.

yup just auto trans lines nothing to bother with...just dont try to take out those fittings sometimes they get rusted in and when you try to get them out it usally breaks the press in threads seperate from the plastic and youll have a coolant leak
