If it really bothers you, weld up the tear, but it looks alright to me. I've seen much larger rust holes than that.

That just looks like the tie down eyes for transporting, and one of the drivers tightned it down to much.

I don't see anything wrong, only thing you have to worry about is maybe a spider web in that hole which to me looks like maybe a rock or road debris hit it sometime ago. The lines and "cracks" you see are suppossed to look that way and are like that on all cars

Thanks for the replys. I just thought it might have been something due to the jackstands.

nah, something was in there and pulled the tear in it. tie down like said before or maybe trying to pull it out of or up something at a weird angle. no worries, but id watch rust and check for propagation when it is up in the air from time to time. drilled holes at the ends would fix it if i was a problem, but those don't look long enough to be of any issue (propagation is related to length).

cliffs- put the car down and chill out. jack stands at jack points are the way to store it.

Is that not the correct jack point? I thought it was... I dont keep it up on stands for longer than I have to usually.

youre supposed to jack the front of the crossmember (and rear tow hook) and put the jack stands on the rocker panel, not that area.

you CAN, and where you have your jackstand on the inner rail is an alternate place to support the car, but its not supposed to.

on where to jack and stand placement (put the jackstands on the rocker panel jackpoints, like where you would place the factory scissor jack, in case you are wondering what he's talking about) i've seen pretty good dents in the frame rails and where you have the tear by jacking there.
