Default turbo h22 problems

i have a 5th gen turbo prelude. it cuts off @ around 6k, feels like a rev limiter or fuel cut. Got 450cc injectors but no aftermarket ignigtion. It only does it after 3 or 4 vtec engagements. then around the 7th, vtec doesn't work at all. also have an APEX VAFC II. any ideas??????
Running around 7-9 psi, denso iridium plugs, VAFC, 450cc dsm injectors, test pipe, and 2.5" piping and muffler, boost gauge, but no oil press gauge, and no wideband.

no CEL? might want to clean your vtec screen or check to see if you have proper oil pressure that would make vtec not function proper.

What spark plugs are you running and what is the gap?

If the answer is not NGK 3330's (bkr7e or bkr7e-11) gapped to .025-.030 then that is your problem.

I had the same problem and found out that it was the map sensor causing car to shut down. I put an aem 3.5 bar sensor on and the car runs great.

Adding a 3.5 bar map sensor on his set-up is only going to cause his car not to run at all, unless he has an EMS that works with a map sensor like that (which he doesn't) and decides to retune his whole map.

The only other problem could be a malfunctioning missing link valve or those little bleeder valves that you have inline with your map sensor.

thanks for responding guys. I'm running around 7-9 psi, denso iridiums, CEL shows some misfire and a rich mixture., and nothin with a map sensor, the VAFC is taking care of that part.

yea, you were right.........about being wrong.

the correct gapping for a turbo application is .028-.030

souds like it could be a tunning issue, but it also sounds like a possible boost spike, or issue with the missing link or bleeder valves and its wackin the map out, your gonna end up learning the hard way that a vafc is not the way to tune a turbo setup!!! get real engine management hondata aem ect--

with your p28, do you also have your stock intake manifold? doesn't it block off half of the stock manifold. Cuz i have a chipped p28 and OBI conversion. do you think this will help?
