Default Please help! Short shifter question

I just recently purchased a short shifter adapter for my 98 and I was wondering how I take apart the center column to get to the shifter? Is it just held in by clips because i don't see any screws?

there are 3 screws tucked behind the front seats. you will have to move the seat as far forward as possible, like you're letting out someone from the backseat. then there are 2 towards the front. one is out in the open right under the shifter, and one is behind a pull-off panel by where the obd port is. then do the other side. remove the shift ****, and shimmy the center console upwards. there is a wire harness, for the change holder light, and you will have to unplug that before it can be fully removed. also, be careful with the e-brake handle/seat area, its a tight fit. from there it should be pretty easy to figure out. let us know how you like the adaptor!
