Default tech head get in here, code 9 with odb1 ecu, odb2 ecu no code

when i am running on odb2 ecu, there's no code.
when i plug odb1 ecu, it would give me a code 9 which is No 1 cyclinder position.
anyone knows what is going here?
maybe timing is off at tdc?

arent the crank position sensors in different places on obd1 vs obd2? I think obd1 is in the distributor and obd2 is on the crank by the oil pump. This might affect some wiring or something.
